抄録

<p>This paper is concerned with the effect of the bracing stiffness on the elastic buckling strength of H-shaped members subjected to axial force and end moments. The member is fixed to out-of-plane at both ends and discrete lateral bracing and torsional bracing are attached. The buckling equation is derived by using the Rayleigh-Ritz method. The relation between elastic buckling strength and bracing stiffness are presented when the bracing is attached at the midspan of the member. The equation for the required bracing stiffness in order to obtain the buckling strength when the deflection and the torsion are restrained.</p>
