Abstract

Immature gastric teratoma is extremely rare. We are reporting a case of 0 day-old infant with a huge immature gastric teratoma which was detected with prenatal ultrasonography. The prenatal diagnosis was lymphangioma. He was born at 37 weeks and 6 days of gestation with a weight of 2,790g by spontaneous delivery.

After birth, he had a huge, irregular, firm mass palpable in the epigastrium. Computed tomography(CT) showed a huge tumor including calcification. On the 14th day of age, the tumor was extirpated combired with gastrectomy, diagnosed gastric immature teratoma by histopathological examination. It became the tubular stomach after gastrectomy, but the weight increased by oral feeding, and he was discharged from the hospital at the 42th day of age.
