Abstract

The authors have focused on methodological research on regional promotional films using cinematic techniques that introduce "storytelling". The purpose of this paper is to discuss the "multilayered structure of time" in film work from the perspective of "time-axis design" proposed by Yoshiyuki Matsuoka. In order to verify the validity of the "multi-layered time model" proposed by the authors, this paper analyzes the images of the film "Drive My Car," Oscar-winning film, directed by Ryusuke Hamaguchi (original story by Haruki Murakami).
