- ギフテッドの子ども支援に関する研究動向と課題― かれらが抱える困難さとその支援方策に着目して―
Description
The purpose of this article is to review trends in research on gifted children in Japan and to identify issues for future research. We summarized the support for gifted children by reviewing research on the difficulties faced by children and their parents due to their characteristics. As a result, it was revealed that gifted children have "difficulties" in various aspects due to their developmental irregularities. Furthermore, it was shown that support for these "difficulties" is often provided in the form of learning approaches. In addition, it can be said that gifted education in other countries have been compiled for developed countries. These findings indicate that, first, the needs of children facing difficulties and their parents/guardians are not well understood, and second, support for children is biased toward learning and leaves out the sense of "difficulties" in their social lives. It was also found that the support for the children was focused on their learning, leaving the "sense of need" in their social life behind. It is assumed that these issues will require further research and support activities.
