Description

We report a case of ectopic thymoma complicated by minimal change nephrotic syndrome and myasthenia gravis. A 67-year-old woman initially presented with an upper mediastinal mass which had been found by CT to examine systemic edema, and ultimately she was diagnosed as also having minimal change nephrotic syndrome. A resected tumor was histologically diagnosed as ectopic thymoma, and she was further diagnosed as having myasthenia gravis after the surgery. Although thymoma rarely is complicated by nephrotic syndrome, thymoma should be kept in mind when diagnosing an anterior neck mass.
