Abstract

The purpose of this study was to grasp the actual working and living conditions of Chinese care workers by listening to the real voices of care workers, and to clarify the human relationships of care workers as consumers, and what are the characteristics of Japanese nursing care that Chinese care workers understand. As a result of the survey, the characteristics of Japanese nursing care understood by Chinese care workers are consistent with the philosophy and way of thinking that runs through the long-term care insurance system in Japan. Regarding human relations in the workplace and relationships with users, although there are communication issues due to Japanese problems and the situation of the elderly such as dementia, all of them have built good relationships with users. In addition, due to language concerns and consideration for the culture of Japan who value personal space, many care workers only greet Japan people living in the community. In an unfamiliar language and from a different cultural background, they seek to network with care workers from the same country of origin who work in Japan rather than interact with local Japanese.
