Description
Segmenting the layers of the retina in an OCT-image serves us to clarify the relationship between eyesight and medical conditions. The method proposed here permits us to extract the layers of the retina has an ophthalmic disease with retinal detachment. Defining the cost function that reflects the features of the layers, the method determines the contour of the retinal detachment, ILM, and ELM, which enable us to specify thicknesses correlating with eyesight. The application of the method shows the ONL-thickness at the fovea and the degree of detachment progress correlate the prediction of eyesight using ARD Gaussian processes for regression.
