<p>In this study, potassium and calcium-based compounds were added to PVC as additives and thermogravimetric analysis was performed under a low-temperature pyrolysis (573 K). The gas generated during the dehydrochlorination process was further analysed using the GC-MS, and EDS analysis was done on the residue. The results confirmed that CaO is the most suitable in terms of inhibiting the release of HCl. As for K2CO3 and CaCO3, they tend to show relatively weak inhibiting effects depending on the molar ratio of additives, as well as demonstrating unfavorable catalytic properties. A reaction analysis of the dehydrochlorination process will be reported on the same day.</p>
