説明

Naokazu Kawasaki (川崎直一), well-known as a leading scholar of Esperanto, also promoted collaborative research with Juntaro Ishihama (石濱純太郎) in the field of modern oriental languages. Through the 20 letters and 100 postcards from Kawasaki to Ishihama, centering on the compilation of ”Daitoa gogaku sōkan (『大東亞語學叢刊』)” and the activities of the Osaka Philological Society (大阪言語学会), this study reveals the reality of the oriental language academic world of that time, mainly before and after World War II, from 1941 onward.
