Abstract

During the Edo period in Japan, many Confucian tombs were constructed based on Zhuxi's Jia-li ("Family Rituals") of Nan Song China, however, there is little research on this subject. Continuing from the previous papers, this paper will present and discuss the grave system and its characteristics through field surveys and literature materials. This paper will illuminate another important works pertaining to Confucian ideology in Japan.
