Abstract

<p>This study aimed to clarify local acceptance of solar-PV facilities creating community benefits. In the case of Iizuka district of Sosa City, Chiba Prefecture, the questionnaire survey was conducted. The results showed that the awareness of the use of emergency power sources has a positive effect on the formation of the residents' supportive attitude toward the project. And the top cognitive factors that form a sense of support among residents are "control of greenhouse gas emissions," "strengthening of disaster response" and “regional revitalization." In addition, the most effective factor of influencing panel owners for the investment behavior is “expectations for long-term profits''.</p>
