Abstract

As for the physique of the Japanese, the phenomenon of accelerated development of height and weight was observed during the high-growth period. Along with this, a numerical increase in basal metabolic rate was also observed, but with the advent of obese children from early childhood, the risk of lifestyle-related diseases has also increased, and countermeasures have been taken. In this study, BMI, body surface area, and basal metabolic rate are calculated based on the height and weight measurement data of infants in Aichi Prefecture, and the current physique status of infants is grasped by radar charts and estimated from them. We discussed the efficiency of health education. This is an attempt to intervene from the numerical aspect in the health education of infants and to find out what kind of health education can demand efficient productivity for the present infants.
