Abstract

<p> The purpose of this study is to clarify the factors that influence the development of agricultural production areas from the viewpoint of business system. The research method incorporates two perspectives that reside in organizational relationships rather than the concept of business systems. The first is the mechanism for training managers, and the second is the function of long-term continuous outsourcing. In addition, the time points when the relationships between organizations within the industrial agglomeration change are divided into phases. The case study of these analyzes is the olive industry on Shodoshima. As a result of the analysis, the following two points were clarified. First, the objects in a face-to-face relationship change from phase to phase, and by accumulating them, they function as a mechanism to foster diverse consciousness as a manager. Secondly, long-term continuous outsourcing functions as a mechanism to supplement the limited resources in the production area continuously for a certain period of time. The target of outsourcing changes from within the production area to an open relationship that transcends the boundaries of the production area. It was suggested that these two factors influence the long-term evolution of the production area.</p>
