Abstract
<p>Illustrations are familiar creations, and many students aspire to become creators such as illustrator through art-related universities and vocational schools. In the fan culture, it is a common activity to create derivative works of illustrations as an expression of love and interest, and this has become a place where one can be active as a creator. The purpose of this study was to clarify the process of becoming a creator and to gain new knowledge about recent creative activities among students who aspire to become an illustrator.</p>
