Abstract
<p>In recent years, crop damage by harmful animals and their proximity to people's homes have become a problem in Japan. To provide an inexpensive and effective countermeasure, a harmful animal’s control robot with a moving mechanism using tethers is currently under development. The authors focused on harmful animals’ detection using visual information and constructed a system using motion detection and machine learning. In this presentation, we introduce the configuration of the system and the results of applying the system to videos of harmful animals.</p>
