平成29年度に小学校学習指導要領が改訂され、算数では、新たな領域「データの活用」が設置された。また、それに応じて対応する検定教科書は、令和2年度に出版された。本稿では、小学校第6学年に焦点を絞り、その新領域「データの活用」に関する学習単元の取り扱われ方を教科書の記載内容を分析することにより明らかにする。結果として、学習指導要領が目指すねらいを達成することに課題が見られることから、学習のあり方についての再考が必要であることを述べる。

The curriculum guidelines for elementary school were revised in 2017, and a new area "Utilization of Data" was established in arithmetic. The authorized textbooks have been published in 2020. This paper focuses on the sixth grade of elementary school and analyzes the contents of the textbooks to clarify how the new area, "Utilization of Data" is handled in the study units. As a result, it is found that there are some problems in achieving the objectives of the curriculum guidelines, and it is necessary to reconsider the way learning should be conducted.
