Abstract

This study investigated how to help pre-service teachers foster English skills for English classes in elementary schools. Individualized feedback and teaching improvement on mock classes were incorporated for instruction. English usage written in lesson plans in pre- and post-instructional sessions was analyzed. The results revealed that the preservice teachers’ English usage improved both quantitatively and qualitatively. Some types of English usage, which were reported to be difficult to realize in previous studies, were also found.
