Abstract

In this study, two key points can be summarized as follows: 1) The rasied-bed rivers of the Kizu River watershed area has a common basic cross-sectional shape, which systematically varies in the upstream and downstream directions of the Kizugawa River. 2) The necessity of the rasied-bed rivers in water management systems has evolved due to urbanization, with the current relevance to agriculture diminishing. In the future, it is conceivable that he rasied-bed rivers, similar to the present-day Boga River, may be entirely removed.
