Description

A written survey (n=110) among L2 German learners (CEFR A1 to B1) regarding the use of YouTube videos for L2 learning showed that most respondents would appreciate a sporadic use of the video platform, especially for improving their listening comprehension, pronunciation, and their understanding of colloquial language. Preferably, appropriate videos should be either selected by the teachers or even be created by them. Based on the survey’s results, suitable video channels on German grammar, vocabulary and culture will be recommended in this article. Also, suggestions will be made of how to use the video platform in L2 German tuition.
