This paper considers the possibility of salvation of Muslims of other Islamic branches in the Twelver Imāmī Shī‘ī thought. In Islamic theology, all humans either go to paradise or hell in the hereafter. Notably, a question arises whether Muslims of other branches can also go to the paradise. This paper demonstrates that attitudes toward imams comprise one of the crucial elements of salvation for Muslims in the Imāmī thought. Nāṣib (who are hostile toward imams and their followers) have almost no chance of salvation due to their infidelity. Yet mustaḍ‘af (who do not know the imamate) may enter paradise because they do not have sufficient infidelity to lead them to live in hell forever. Therefore, I contend that the possibility of salvation is not closed to other Muslims in the Imāmī view on condition that they are not nāṣibs.
