Description

We analyze whether the other player’s payoff affects the action of subjects for the testing of the chicken game or not. There is no Nash equilibrium in the simultaneous chicken game as long as we consider only pure strategy. However, the action of subjects depends on the payoff of other players significantly even if one of payoff gets higher than payoff in the previous game. Therefore, it is not adequate to analyze this game without taking account of the other player’s payoff. The results of experimentation are not in consistency with theoretical results. Assuming that a part of subjects without selecting action based on economic rationality takes account of the payoff of other players in the testing of the chicken game, we show that it is possible to make an interpretation of results appropriately.
