Description
<p>This study described and analyzed the life story of Ms. Luz, a Colombian Japanese language teacher. Based on the results of the description and analysis, the following three points are discussed. The first point is that the characteristics of the teachers and the values of the Japanese language and culture changed in the language school of the Colombian Japanese settlement in the 1990s. The second point is that teachers in the Japanese settlement in Colombia find the significance of human education in Japanese language education through their relationship with the local society and its people. Finally, the third point is that learning Japanese language and culture has come to have a special meaning for Ms. Luz because of the various experiences she has gained in her life and the meanings she has attached to them.</p>
