This paper is an introduction to choice experiments (choice-based conjoint analysis) using R, which is a language and environment for statistical computing. Numerous statistical methods that are provided as packages can be added to R. This document comprises two parts; The first is an explanation of the process of creating a choice experiments survey (choice sets) with the functions gen.factorial() and optFederov() included in the AlgDesign package, and the second is an explanation of the process of analyzing data gathered by the survey with the function clogit() included in the survival package. In addition, we have provided information regarding the estimating of marginal willingness to pay for non-price attriubutes and the forcasting of choice probability of an alternative with R. Since R is a free software, many readers of this document may find it easy to apply the choice experiments to thier research projects.
