Abstract

A book binding process, whose diverse specifications leading unprofitability in plant and equipment investment, has left large rooms for labor intensive elements.<br>Developing an efficient manufacturing method would be a requisite aspect for prospective book binding, as cost reduction is inevitable in small lot, various size of signature related to today's capricious consumer demands, and the boom.<br>In this report, I would like to discuss technical suggestions under current condition of book binding focusing on the following:<br>1. process for increase in productivity 2. process for factory automation<br>3. process for quality control.
