Computer Color Matching (CCM) has widely been used in textile, paint and plastic industries. In ink manufacturing and printing industries, however, the introduction of this technology has been slow due to its complexities. Recently the implementation of CCM has become simple owing to the latest progress of measurement and computation technologies. This report describes the overview of CCM technology in terms of its historical background, principles and practical applications to the printing industries.
