Recently the technologies of digital printing system are advanced rapidly and the image quality of these devices increases remarkably. The effect of its increase is advertized from several points, however the studies on its effect is not carried out enough. Here we studied the subjective estimation on child's skin face and key's surface printed images to investigate the effect of edge enhancement using Laplacian method. This includes 5 stages estimation and semantic difference. The observation indicated that the image quality, detail expression and texture, likeness, strong, comfortable and natural feelings are affected as the amount of edge enhancement is increased. The mechanism of their increase is discussed and it is found that the image quality and these feelings are important factors which can be improved due to easy recognition of their clues. However, these approaches show the different limit of human eye depending on object types. <br>Key words: edge enhancement, texture feeling, image quality, detail expression
