The application of Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) photoreceptor to lithographic printing plate has been studied because high quality image is obtained by use of TiO2 photoreceptor and liquid toner. These materials have high resolving power (50 lines/mm), so the reproduction of small size dot is possible. The dot image formed on the TiO2 photoreceptor by contact exposure of dotted film is good enough for lithographic printing plate. Regarding printing test, the quality of print sample has been evaluated in comparison with the print produced by PS plate. The non-image area of TiO2 plate can be converted to hydrophilic surface by conventional etching solution. The print quality by TiO2 plate is almost the same with that by PS plate, and the smaller amount of dampening water is used during printing. Regarding the durability of TiO2 plate, producing at least 10000 prints from one plate is possible.
