Abstract

The systematic studies on the blockage effect are carried out in the Nagasaki Experimental Tank, M.H.I. including experiments and theoretical considerations in order to obtain the correct solution. The several models of the small and the large wave resistance hull forms, of the small and the large fullness are used for this pourpose.<BR>The new blockage corrector for the effective towing speed including the effect of the depression of water surface is proposed. The effect of water depth on wave resistance is also considered, and the correction to the wave amplitude is proposed.
