Abstract
Oil-less color toner heralded the evolution of fusing technology for color laser printers, which has since been materialized by the newly developed fuser member with minimized heat capacity. With its background technology of the monochromatic on-demand fusing, Color IH fusing technology, a top runner in the field of energy saving, realized highly efficient fusing system utilizing induction heating. Its core technology consists of (1)induction core/coil, (2)fusing sleeve, (3)high frequency power source, all of which required breakthrough works to fix a number of difficulties. As a result, a big energy reduction (ca. 70%) has been achieved as compared to conventional color fusing technology.
