Abstract

The dark potentials in PET-CdS photosensitive plates were measured as a function of the corona charging voltage with the charging device a mesh electrode. The capacitance C2 of the CdS-resin layer was determined as a function of the internal voltage V2 across the CdS-resin layer and the relation of C2∝V2−1/2 was gotten. This result is possible to explain by the volume charge capacitor model proposed by Amick for ZnO-resin and the estimated value of the ionized donor density nd is 3.9×1013 cm−3.<br/>We also confirmed that the Schottky type potential distribution is realized in the CdSresin layer from the measurment of dark potentials as a function of CdS-resin thickness.
