Description

Despite the commercialization of nano particles, their practical applications in the coating industry are limited due to technical issues with flocculation and difficulty of handling both in the laboratory and in production. The use of nano dispersions is one of the solutions for these issues. The different kinds of nano dispersion are discussed and the latest developments in wetting and dispersing additives are introduced. Well-structured polymeric additives provide higher dispersion stability of the particles and less influence on the film properties.
