Abstract

The effective dose constants due to the bremsstrahlung from beta-rays of 13 important radionuclides (3H, 63Ni, 14C, 35S, 147Pm, 33P, 45Ca, 90Sr, 85Kr, 36Cl, 89Sr, 32P, 90Y) were calculated. The targets were raw-materials with the atomic numbers 1 through 82, water, concrete, acrylic fiber, and four kinds of glasses (lead glass, Pyrex glass, potash glass, soda-lime glass). In addition, the effective dose attenuation data of these bremsstrahlung for water, concrete, aluminum, iron, tungsten and lead were obtained.
