Abstract

Our digitizing project in Art Research Center has developed the technique and database system by ourselves. We have an intensive policy on open the information of materials which has been owned in ARC, and made collaborative digitizing project with other institutions in Japan. After that, it has moved abroad and the target has included wider area of Japanese cultural heritage, and also this international-type project has expanded rapidly. Currently, our main target has moved on classical Japanese books. For the books digitization, we have developed "Bungee System", and have got a great potential on the speed of digitization. On this international type digitization, we always make a collaboration with the young researchers and post graduate students, and add an educational effects into this project. We call this model as "ARC International Model". ARC, as a small institute, can make the project global enterprise by the model.
