Abstract

<p>The archives that show the path of corporate activities are valuable assets for companies. Shiseido Corporate Museum collects and preserves our intellectual and aesthetic assets to be utilized efficiently for many years to come. This essay introduces how the museum preserves cosmetics and staff uniforms of Shiseido, from a wide variety of its collection. Shiseido's cosmetics show not only its history but also that of technological development in the modern period of Japan. Furthermore, we can see the tastes and sense of art of the times from each packaging design of cosmetics. The uniform of the staff who conveyed value and the sense of beauty of cosmetics were important and preserve it.</p>
