Abstract

Open source movement has been advocated for fifteen years. This paper reviews connections between open source movement and library services. Adoption of open source software (OSS) in library is illustrated with an example of integrated library system, institutional repository and discovery interface. This paper concludes the discussion with several issues around OSS and library, such as cloud environment and open data.
