The magnetic properties associated with the spin fluctuation of YXNi100−X (8≤X≤32.5) amorphous alloys are investigated. The temperature dependence of magnetization for Y10Ni90 and Y14Ni86 amorphous alloys exhibits a T4⁄3-M2 relation below the Curie temperature, as expected from the self consistent renormalization (SCR) theory. The reciprocal magnetic susceptibility shows a temperature dependence similar to that of the temperature-induced localized moment caused by the saturation of increasing amplitude of the local spin density, ⟨SL2⟩. The starting temperature of the saturation of ⟨SL2⟩ is estimated to be T*=230 K. The saturation of ⟨SL2⟩ has also been confirmed by measuring the thermal expansion.
