抄録
The pressure dependences of the first, second and third moments of the Jahn-Teller-induced A-absorption and AT-emission bands in KCl:Tl+ have been observed at room temperature. The changes in the first and third moments with application of a hydrostatic pressure P are proportional to P in both the A-absorption and AT-emission bands. Moreover, the observed change in the third moment of the A-absorption band is equal to 3⟨ΔE⟩⟨E2⟩ and that of the AT-emission band is nearly equal to 3⟨ΔE⟩⟨E2⟩. Here ⟨ΔE⟩ and ⟨E2⟩ are the change in the first moment and the second moment of the corresponding band, respectively.
