Abstract
Magnetic measurements indicate that Ca2Fe2O5 is an antiferromagnet, with weak parasitic ferromagnetism. The lattice, with the space group Pcmn-D2h16, can be considered as an oxygen deficient perovskite. The magnetic structure as determined from a neutron diffraction study is of G-type, and Fe3+ spins are directed approximately along c-axis.
