Description
The (0, 1), (0, 0) and (1, 0) bands of the CrO, which appear in the red and yellow region, are analysed rotationally, and we have been able to show that these bands owe to the transition 5Π−5Π. We have shown the theoretical formulae for the quintet state, which can be applied in the case of nearly (a), and obtained the molecular constants as follows,<BR>Be″=0.5286±0.0002 cm−1<BR>Be′=0.4750±0.0002 cm−1<BR>α″=0.0050 cm−1<BR>α′=0.0057 cm−1<BR>re″=1.627×10−8 cm<BR>re′=1.716×10−8 cm<BR>A″=110 cm−1<BR>A′=100 cm−1
