Abstract
This essay focus on the relationship between architect and design of library in the age of information. After 1995, several architects including Toyo Ito and Nobuaki Furuya proposed new possibility of library space in Japan. They tried to express Transparency, visualization of information, exchange of space and dissolution of building types through their works.
