Abstract

Web has been recognized as a crucial component of our information resource infrastructure. However, on the Web, on one hand, huge number of Web pages are created and updated day after day, and on the other hand, vast amount of information is lost. Many national libraries and archives started Web archiving in late 1990s. In 2003, International Internet Preservation Consortium (IIPC) was established to promote collaboration among the institutions and organizations for building standards and common tools for Web archiving.
