Kanagawa prefectural Kawasaki library was renewed as Information library for Science and Industry at Apr. 1998. This report introduces Kawasaki library's renewal and library cooperation with various types of libraries - public libraries, special libraries and information bureaus in companies. Especially it describes about "Shinshiken" (Kanagawa Association of Special Libraries & information bureaus) as unique case of local library network.
