Abstract

At the library, we must think about books disposal by giving priority, because we have only the limited keeping space. But it's dangerous to think only about it. The librarian should think about user's convenience by user's aspect and should make an effort to improve service in top priority. In IHI, we provided books disposal standards from the above-mentioned point. In April, 2006, our new headquarter building was completed. At this time, we disposed 15,000 books according to our standards. We are considering environment enough for books disposal.
