Abstract
Since the 1990s, Evidence-based Medicine has become widely accepted in medical research and practice. This idea has brought into Library and Information Science, and it became Evidence-based Librarianship (EBL) or Evidence-based Library and Information Science (EBLIS). This article describes Conflict of interest (COI) in biomedical research as an example of Information Science. COI is important issue concerning research integrity and transparency and, eventually, the lives and well-being of people. Many studies about industry relationships with researchers and their consequence were conducted. We reviewed their and our COI research, and discussed current and future issues of them.
