Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Research Information Center in Japan provides various databases such as document information, research result information, and satellite images. This information is provided as an agriculture information resource system so called Agropedia. Also it is broadcasted through the Internet helping the research and development activities related to agriculture, forestry and fisheries. This system has been put into operation for five years. We have realized several problems as follows, (1) Necessity of retrieval function of full text information. (2) Low degree of acknowledgment level due to shortage of announcing to the public. (3) Method of promoting talent. In this text, the current state and the improvement idea of these problems are described from the standpoint of systems librarian involved in the system operation.
