Abstract
This research is aimed to clarify the matrix structure of Tokyo central area in two periods, Meiji period and today and its effects on thermal and wind environment. First, we made fine datasets of two periods and set matrix units by classifying micro topography and land coverage such as buildings, tree, and water. Secondly, the thermal simulations of high-resolution were calculated and the relation between the matrix structure and the distribution of see breeze and thermal environment was revealed. Finally, the methodology of making spatial database for urban environmental planning in Tokyo central area was suggested.
