Abstract

Recently, a number of local governments are considering maintenance of trams for the purpose of activation of downtown. In the case of such maintenance of trams, it is desirable to carry out by combining not only maintenance of trams but also the improvement along the railroad line of trams. The purpose of this study is to analyze rambling activities of visitor by tram behavioral characteristics of visitor by tram and spatial composition in central commercial district in Hiroshima city. Finally, it aims at clarifying the factor currently urged to rambling activities of visitor by tram. The local governments who are considering maintenance of trams can refer to this study when consider improvement policy for activation of downtown along the railroad line of trams.
