Abstract

Workshop has become one of important tools for public involvement of town planning. However, the contents of discussion of workshop have not been fully analyzed so far. Thus, the purpose of this study is to derive useful information from discussion of workshop through analyzing the discussion. The methodology of our approach is basically text mining for summarizing and visualizing the discussion. We applied these methods to the discussion of a workshop for town activation by public transport. The results of the analysis showed that the contents of discussion are not necessarily similar even though the theme is the same. We concluded that these methods help grasping the discussion and are useful to improve the management of workshop.
