Description
Morphological differences of yeast form cells of S. schenckii isolated from several sources, growth temperature and GC content of DNA extracted from yeast form cells of these cells were compared to know whether or no any difference can be found in S. schenckii species. The results indicated that minor differences observed on above points may well be regarded as differences in the same species. Previous works concerning the relationships between S. schenckii and Ceratocystis stenoceras were also reviewed and discussed based upon our own data.
