抄録
Shibuya is one of the biggest CBDs in Tokyo. Illegal parking and pick-up&delivery service on road which cause serious traffic congestion are widespread in the area. Social experiment of parking management was conducted to ease traffic congestion in the area by a conference which had been established by Tokyo Metropolitan Government, the Metropolitan Police, etc. The experiment consists of supply of off-road and on-road parking space for pick-up&delivery service, free parking space, shuttle bus service and parking guiding system. The experiment was very successful and proved effective to improve traffic problem as well as environmental problem.
